Queen Elizabeth is on the 20$ dollar note because she said so. She has rights to be on the 20$ dollar not because she the royal queen and owns New Zealand.
NZ$50 – APIRANA NGATA
A New Zealand politician, Sir Apirana Ngata (1874-1950) was influential in improving the social and economical conditions for the Maori people. He was the Minister of Maori Affairs. Ngata pushed for the growth of equal education for Maori.
