Hey Today I have done my quick written a Quick write for today.

LOOK DOWN!

I looked above me seeing just a blue sky no clouds, I looked around seeing myself &
my brother on a wing of a airplane.

I looked below me ,seeing clouds over powering the world. It felt as if I was in heaven

Clouds white as snow. Wind swifting pass my face as we sit down on the airplane wing.
Of course we were scared but it felt amazing being somewhere peaceful.

A slap from my older brother woke me up from a Amazeballs dream.
The time was 12.34 HA Slept in for so long… Now I gotta wait for him to sleep then
I’ll slap that eggs face.

Expectations Vs Reality

Expectation Vs Reality is our films name. In my group was Anika, Moni, Dani, Hela and Me :)
Our group name is Fantastic Fish Fingers.

This film is about how GTS students live life at school.
We enjoy playing sports and having fun.

I mostly enjoyed filming this because we did ultra fails & laughed a million times.

I also enjoyed my groups editing cause we have lots of embarrassing moments :))

Respiratory System

Malo lelei, For our lCS ( Learn, Create , Shar ) We chose a system to research about. Me and my buddy ( Tiana ) Presented today with our research we did over the past 2 weeks. Here is what we've found to finish off our work

The maritime Museum.

Talofa lava , One Tuesday 4th the senior's went on a trip to The Maritime Museum. It was really interesting with all the old equipment around the whole place around it. It was very fun to find the things on the sheet that was handed in to us to find. I had a great time and hope to go there again. Peace

Quick Write.

Today we did quick write with everyone in our class. Our teacher Mrs Faalili chose our photo to write about. We described the photo as we were that person. So here is Mone.

Heyoo , Since yesterday room 13 and I has been working on on a graph. You could choose any category so I chose Celebrity's. Here is the work I have done from the past few 24 hours and today.

Anzac

Anzac

On this week we have been learning about Anzac and We have been writing poems and story's. We have learnt how sore it would be the hold a Raffle for long time in the war  by hold a chair in the air for 10 seconds. Our principle ( Mr Herlihy ) Has told us about his story about when he went to Europe and went to go have a look at Gallipoli. Mr Herlihy has showed us some photos of when he went to go Explore what it was like in WW1. Mr Herlihy has given us his Album with all his photos and showing us what he has done in his adventure. We have done research on Armies like The Turkish Army , The New Zealand Army , The Australia Army which I did and the British Army. We have done our  research and has Presented it to our class with our 5 W'S.

We have look at some photos that the Soldiers shot at the same time and got stuck inside the bullet. Did you know that there was a Donkey that took the injured people to their mini hospital and The donkey who's name was  John Simpson and He survived

through the whole war ( WW1) 

Last day of school - Friday???

On Friday is the last day of school. I predict that its gonna be fun and have lots of food.

Activity's ? : Tug of war slides / wet activity's  or sorts of things. I think we are going to have fun and enjoy the time we are having on Friday. I predict that there are going to have competitions on students vs Teachers. I hope we all enjoy our day because its our last day of the term / school. We are coming in mafti - house colours also ITS FOR FREE! I am going to love it as much as I love me sleeping in bed. ❤💙😇😊😎

• New Zealand was the first country to in the world to give women the vote in parliamentary elections. The country’s most famous suffragette, Kate Sheppard (1847-1934). 

• NZ$20 – QUEEN ELIZABETH II?

• Queen Elizabeth is on the 20$ dollar note because she said so. She has rights to be on the 20$ dollar not because she the royal queen and owns New Zealand.

• A New Zealand politician, Sir Apirana Ngata (1874-1950) was influential in improving the social and economical conditions for the Maori people. He was the Minister of Maori Affairs. Ngata pushed for the growth of equal education for Maori.

Tracey

  Talofa Lava, My name is Tracey.

 I am 13 years of age. I attend Glen Taylor school and I am a year 8. I’m Samoan,German and Tongan. I have six siblings and three step siblings. I enjoy playing sports such as held ( rugby ), Basketball and netball. I currently enjoy any sport at the moment. I also enjoy spending my time, singing and dancing my with peers. 

 As a learner at Glen Taylor School, I would like to achieve the goals that I have set in my mind for me to complete. I am more into writing than other subjects. I have set challenges for myself . One goal for me is to make it into college once I leave Glen Taylor. I am looking forward to leaving Glen Taylor with memorable memories to take with me. I look up to myself because I know I can do better than what I do now. I see unnecessary things happen and I learn from them, especially from my mistakes. 

 I have grown into a young women who knows right from wrong. I have fought choices that could have injured me today. I am a person who will stand for what's right, I will stand by rules. I have learnt today, that anything can be possible if you try, even if it's difficult.

My Speech.

My HOUSE CAPTAIN SPEECH!

And welcome to my very first speech for 2018. ( Hi ). I am a proud Samoan and Tongan girl.

A very good morning to all teachers and students. I stand here before you and will discuss the reason why I would apply for house captain for the following year  2018.

The reason why I would love to apply for Tuareres house captain is because I know that I deserve the role. I am very respectful and will accept your choices if you have any Ideas for the amazing, competitive team, TAURERE!. I will show Fire and Ace in everything I do.  I will respect your choices and your ideas.

I  am a person who will show fire to you and be a leader to all students. I will show integrity everywhere even outside school and inside school. If I was Tuareres house captain I would use your creative Ideas and put it into something that will work for the awesome team.

I will put all my differences behind and we will work as a team. We all have our own Mana and afi. I know that I will be a great leader for Tuarere and I will show it off so everyone knows that Tuarere is the best for 2018.

I am someone who can encourage you and support you. I will and KNOW! That I can do this and be the role model who you want me to be. I will follow rules and obey them. I WILL set examples for our juniors.  I assure you that I will be the person who you want me to be as your leader.

I stand here with pride and I am proud to be here choosing to be a leader for Glen Taylor School. I would feel honoured  and privileged to represent my school as a leader. I also admit I may not be the smartest or coolest of all students but I can assure you that if you voted for me elected   I will

put everything I can into Tuareres House Captain. I am a child of god and I will always be. I will respect that because He gave me a life that I can make that most of it. I am lucky enough to be at Glen Taylor School.

House Captains

Hello, Talofa-lava , Ola and my name is Tracey-lee and I am running for house captain. Today I have to write a speech that can help me be house captain for Taurere.  I have to be role model to the younger kids and will have to be a amazing student  for the teachers and the students around me. All of the students that are running for house captains will have to present their speech on Friday in front of the whole school. Later on they will wait for who had the most votes. The person who will have the most votes will be the house captain of their colour. 

Family Fun Day ;)

On Saturday it was family fun day. When I arrived to school I could hear loud banging music just from the car park. As I was walking in I saw people playing basket ball, some people that use to come to Glen Taylor but now is in college. I loved the Ice cream and the food. I hung out with my friends while I was there.

Next, I walked to the pool with Brooklyn I mostly hung out with her. The pool was open, The bouncy castle was on the field,there was games in the hall and if you won you would get a prize also there was games on the field. As I walked in the pool I already saw people trying to splash me #April.

Later on I was roaming around the classes and the school. I bought Ice Cream and bought a sausage sizzle. I tried Miss Melina but she wasn't here😢. After, Me and Brooklyn was still roaming the school but later she ditched me and when to swim so I went but didn't swim. I was still getting wet by APRIL.

That was my experience on Saturday was awesome and fun. I can't wait for the next Family Fun Day.💖😊also for a fact I know its going to be fun, awesome, and so enjoyable.  Thank you Mr Herlihy for letting this happen for GTS and I am thankful and appreciative, Also Thanks to my Teacher Fire Pene for making our class room look fabulous and awesome.  💜🐼🐵.
